It's quick and easy to start using Evente.

For your security, we verify the information you provide when you K as a buyer. After you are approved, you simply decide who in your company can use the Evente system, and what level of purchasing authority you want to give them.

(When you use Evente for the first time, you may need to verify a few settings in Microsoft Internet Explorer for optimal performance. Also, you will have to check your printer setup to ensure that you can print shipping labels acceptable to UPS. These steps should take no more than a few minutes.)

In a small company, the owner may be the only person using Evente. In a larger enterprise, purchasing professionals, production managers, assistants and others may be assigned different roles, with a specified chain of approvals. Evente works equally well in large and small companies.

The next step is to invite your company’s suppliers to join you on Evente.com. That’s as simple as entering their e-mail addresses. They’ll be contacted automatically. Your suppliers do not need pre-approval to start using Evente. If a supplier later wants to use Evente for its own procurement, they do need to register as a buyer.

We won’t pretend that Evente is as easy to use as, say, Google. Procurement is a vitally important role in any company, with many possible complications, steps and decision points. You won't find fancy graphics or animation on Evente, either. It is about as stylish as a forklift – but just as practical, reliable and productive.

As you explore the full power of Evente, you’ll encounter a number of screens, reports and options. We have tried to make these as self-explanatory as possible, and each is equipped with a “help” screen.

You'll find more detailed help information on this site, and you can post questions and review comments posted by others on the Evente Forum.

Finally, you can use the fee-based Evente Help Desk, for live support from a trained Evente technician.

Evente is the product of years of development and thorough testing. Currently it is in “beta” stage, and you may find a feature missing or implemented awkwardly. Please use the “contact information” link at the bottom of any page to let us know how we can make Evente better.
