Setting Up Your Printer To
Work With Evente
Many of the items you buy or
sell will be carried by UPS. In order to ensure that the
shipping labels you generate when using Evente conform to
the requirements of UPS, you must use the "UPS Printer
Setup" page. (See below.) You can reach this page via
the Account Maintenance link from the Main Menu page.
After a few seconds "printer
applet" should appear on the Printer Setup page. This
handy tool is written in Java, a widely-used computer
language that is installed on most computers. If Java is
installed on your computer, the applet will appear at the
bottom of the page, showing a list of "Available Printers."
In that case, just select the printer you normally
use for office work by clicking your mouse on the name of
that printer. Then click the "Print Test" button. If
the test page prints successfully, you are done. The printer
setup is done only once on each computer you use to access
Evente.com.
If the Java applet does not
appear, you may not have Java installed on your computer.
Instructions on the page tell you how to download it, for
free, from the Sun Microsystems website. It takes just a few
minutes to download and install Java, which is a safe and
useful addition to your computer. Once Java is installed,
return to the Printer Setup page and run the applet. |
