What happens after you send out your RFQ?

The suppliers to whom you send your RFQ will check the information you provide, such as product description, part numbers, quantity requested and delivery dates. Then they will provide you with a quote for each line item.

When a quote arrives, the Evente system will alert you via a message on the main Evente page and an e-mail sent to the address you have provided.

Evente also provides a convenient, powerful and secure messaging capability, which buyers and suppliers can use to communicate at any stage in the transaction. You should use this, rather than relying on e-mails or phone calls, to clarify any questions that may come up. An important benefit of this system is that it creates “message threads” – linked questions, responses and follow-up messages – that are visible to all parties. This preserves the chain of communications to minimize any possibility of confusion or misunderstanding.

When the supplier submits a response to your RFQ, the system will automatically calculate estimated shipping costs, using the supplier’s shipping location and the shipment weight and dimensions the supplier has provided.
